Intercept scrolling

To have Rtriv activate automatically when you open a social network, you'll create an automation in the iOS Shortcuts app. You need one per network.

Open the Shortcuts app and tap the Automation tab at the bottom of the screen.

Tap the + button in the top right to create a new automation.

Select App from the list of triggers.

Tap Choose, then select the network you want to monitor (e.g. Instagram). One network per automation.

Make sure Is Opened is checked. Select Run Immediately. Tap Next.

Tap Create Shortcut in the top left of the screen.

Tap Add Action, then search for "Intercept" in the search bar. Select Intercept scrolling on [Social network].

Long press on the Intercept scrolling action to pin it. This makes it easier to find when creating the next automations.

Tap Social network in the action to choose the network. Select the same network as in step 4. Tap OK.

Done for this network. To monitor other networks (TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn...), repeat these steps for each one. Whenever you open a monitored app and your friction conditions are active, Rtriv will activate automatically.
